Who we are
East Tennessee Nurse Honor Guard is a volunteer, recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 99-2540341) serving thirteen counties in East Tennessee. You can reach us at etnhg3@gmail.com or on 865.310.6183.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. Depending on the form, that is your name, phone number, email address, your relationship to a nurse, the nurse's name and credentials, the funeral home, the date and location of a service, your county, your nursing credentials, and any notes you add.
We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site. Donations are handled by Venmo, on Venmo's own systems — we never see your card or bank details.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the site.
Why we collect it
To answer you. A tribute request is used to staff and schedule the service and to coordinate with your funeral home or hospice. A membership enquiry is used to contact you about meetings. A general message is used to reply to you.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.
Where it goes
Form submissions are emailed to our chapter address and stored in this website's database so a message is never lost if email fails. Only chapter officers and the person maintaining the website can see them.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the chapter except where we need to coordinate the service you asked us for — for example confirming timings with your funeral home.
How long we keep it
Tribute records are kept as part of our chapter's history. If you would rather we did not keep yours, tell us and we will delete it.
Cookies
This site does not run advertising or social-media tracking. Our host uses caching software that may set a technical cookie to serve pages faster. No third-party analytics are installed.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email etnhg3@gmail.com or call 865.310.6183 and we will act on it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
