We want this site to work for everyone, including the people who need it most.

Our commitment
Many of the people who come to this site are grieving, and many of them are older. We have built it to be read easily, used with a keyboard, and understood by a screen reader.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
Body text is never smaller than 16 pixels and lines are generously spaced. Colour combinations were checked so that text meets the AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background.
Every page has one main heading and a logical heading order. Every photograph has descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
Every link and form field can be reached with the Tab key and shows a visible focus outline. Form fields have real labels, not just placeholder text. A skip link lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.
Phone numbers are real telephone links so you can tap to call, and the phone number stays visible at the top of every page.
Known limitations
Some photographs on the gallery page came to us as phone screenshots, so they are lower resolution than the rest and may look soft when enlarged.
Our printed brochure is a PDF that was produced as an image, so its text cannot be read aloud by a screen reader. Everything in the brochure is also written out on this website in accessible text.
